MVB Best Digger

MVB BEST DIGGER

Volleyball digging is essential for having a successful defense. The job of a volleyball digger is to prevent the ball from hitting the floor after being spiked by the opposing team. To dig, the volleyball players must anticipate the spike and be prepared to quickly dive in any direction. Great volleyball diggers are able to move faster, using their strength and flexibility to get low to the ground in order to dig out a hard hit. Volleyball diggers must be able to move laterally, forward, and backward explosively at full range of motion. Congratulations for bagging the Best Digger Award!

"Lucky people GET opportunities; Brave people CREATE opportunities; And winners are those people that CONVERT problems into opportunities." Congratulations to for winning Best Digger, Runner Up!

MVB Best Receiver

BEST RECEIVER

Passing or Receiving is arguably the most important skill in volleyball. Bad receives have a low chance of delivering an effective attack because it makes it harder for the setter to set the ball. This player showcased the best receiving skills in the tournament. He made it easy for the setter to get the ball up high in the air to set up his hitters. CONGRATULATIONS for bagging the BEST RECEIVER AWARD!

MVB Best Setter

MVB Best Setter

A good setter can make a weak team decent and a good team exceptional. Setters control the tempo, create the offense and maintain momentum. If you analyze the most successful teams, they usually have one thing in common: a quality setter. While each team will develop its own personality (some offensive oriented, some defensive and scrappy), one common thread is obvious at any level: the setter is the glue that keeps the team’s parts together. Congratulations for bagging the Best Setter Award!

BEST SETTER, RUNNER UP
We all have great inner power. The power is self faith. There's really an attitude to winning. You have to see yourself winning before you win. And you have to be hungry. You have to want to succeed." - Arnold Schwarzenegger. Congratulations!

MVB Best Blocker

BEST BLOCKER

The volleyball block is a skill that looks simple but in truth it is not. Becoming a good blocker requires an understanding of simple physics. His job is to position himself so that he can block it back onto the hitter’s side or take the heat off the attack creating an easy play for your team. Let us recognize the player who made the most kill blocks for this month. Congratulations!

MVB Most Valuable Player and Finals MVP

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER

What makes an MVP? The definition of MVP varies from team to team but definitely he is the person that you can’t live without. He is someone who works really hard and someone who is really competitive. The MVPs also tend to be leaders, and sometimes they might be the captain and sometimes they might lead by example and not have a title. These are just some of the characteristics of an MVP but ultimately he is the epitome of what you want in an athlete on your team. CONGRATULATIONS!

FINALS MVP

Yes, all players are important in each team but yet there is this one player who played until the whistle was blown. He knew that working hard was not enough. He believed that if he had more to give, do it and steered his team to a championship. "To achieve its goals, a team needs members who give their all, give their best, and play to win." - Michael Hyatt
Congratulations to DRID for bagging the Finals MVP Award.
