The opposite position gets its name because this player is placed opposite of the setter in the rotation. The opposite is a well-rounded player who possesses all of the skills necessary for both offense and defense. Though rarely noticed sometimes opposites have several dual duties as second libero, primary blocker, second setter and sometimes he becomes the primary or secondary hitter. Each play starts off with a serve. It is the only skill in volleyball where the player has complete control. It can be an underhand or overhead serve. Regardless of the type of serve, the serve can become the team's initial offensive weapon. This player made the most points out his serves by converting his serves into aces. Volleyball digging is essential for having a successful defense. The job of a volleyball digger is to prevent the ball from hitting the floor after being spiked by the opposing team. To dig, the volleyball players must anticipate the spike and be prepared to quickly dive in any direction. Great volleyball diggers are able to move faster, using their strength and flexibility to get low to the ground in order to dig out a hard hit. Hi guys, below po iyong mga FAQs or frequently asked questions ng mga players. Para sa mga bago pakibasa na lang po eto para sa inyong kaalaman.

1. Puwede po bang sumali?
Oo kahit sino naman puwede. Punta ka lang sa http://tinyurl.com/mvbregisterer

2. Marami po bang magagaling?
Halo halo po. Merong beginners at advanced players

3. Nagka conduct po ba kayo ng training?
Hindi po.

4. Meron bang mga babae?
Wala po all male po kami

5. Magkano ang fee para makasali sa regular games at sa liga?
Nasa 180 per spiker at P70 per setter ang contribution sa regular games kapag Wednesday. Nasa P200 spiker at P100 setter naman kapag Sabado. Tumatanggap din po kami ng 1 team. Kapag Wedneday, P1150 per team tapos kapag Sabado naman P1300 ang 1 team. Tuwing liga, nasa P250 (estimated) naman ang fee para sa Setter and Libero para sa liga at P390 (estimated) naman para sa mga spikers na ginaganap tuwing last Saturday ng buwan.

6. Kelan babayaran ang P250 o kaya P390?
Babayaran eto sa araw ng liga mismo.

7. Tuwing kelan po ang regular games?
Wed 7pm-11pm at Sat 6pm-11pm. Wala na pong ibang schedule.

8. Saan kayo naglalaro?
Sa Holy Family Gym, Faraday St. Brgy San Isidro, Makati City

9. Paano pumunta doon?

10. May shower at bihisan doon?
Meron po pero pang isahan lang.

11. Bakit isa lang ang bola ng MVB?
Dati laging tatlo ang bola ng MVB at puro siya MVA 200. Nanakawan po kami ng 1. Bumili ulit kami ng 1 pa. After 3 weeks, nanakaw na naman ulit. Kaya mula noon para makaiwas, lagi na lang pa isa isa ang inilalabas na bola.

12. May cash prize po ba ang liga?
Depende kung may sponsor pero kadalasan ay wala po. Prizes lang in kind ang ibinigay sa mga winners at special awardees.

13. Ilan po ang teams?
4 teams na po per schedule sa Wed  tapos 5 teams naman kapag Sabado

14. Ilang beses naglalaro ang isang team sa isang buwan?
Every week po may laro ang 4 at 5 teams teams. Hindi po fixed ang team kasi shuffle siya.

15. Paano iyon? Sabado lang ako puwede. Hindi ako puwede ng Wednesday.
Sa sabado ka na lang po magconfirm.

16. Kapag hindi ba ako puwede sa liga makakalaro pa rin ba ako sa weekly games or kaya next month?
Oo naman.

17. Nagtext sign up na ba ako. Pasok na ba ako weekly games at liga?
Maisasama na namin ang contact details mo sa database namin. Antay ka na lang ng text and email invites tapos mag confirm ka sa text once nakatanggap ka.

18. Ano po bo ang waitlist?
Ang waitlist ay listahan ng mga players na hindi umabot sa cut off ng weekly games at league. Kinokontak namin kayo kapag may nabakanteng slot.

19. Gustong gusto ko na maglaro pero nasa waitlist pa rin ako. Anong gagawin ko?
Abang ka lang sa text and email invites. Once nakapasok ka na sa weekly games, mag confirm ka lang nang mag confirm para sa susunod na games para hindi ka na ma waitlist.

20. Puwede po bang manood?
Oo naman.

21. May bayad po ba pag manonood?
Wala po.

22. Kailangan pa po ba magpaalam kung manonood?
Hindi na po. Lapitan mo lang siguro kami sa court kapag andun ka na para makilala ka namin. Malay mo may biglang nagcancel at makakalaro ka bigla bigla

23. Pag manonood po ba, may chance na makalaro?
Depende siguro kung may mga players na biglang hindi sumisipot pero hindi po eto guaranteed.

24. Anong ang ibig sabihin ng PROXY at puwede ba ako magpa PROXY para may slot pa rin ako sa susunod na linggo?
Bawal po ang PROXY, proxy means ung mga player na hindi makakaattend ng play at iba ang papalaruin sa slot nila. Bawal po iyon. Automatically no show and kalalabasan at mababanned and original player na pagpapalista.

25. Anong ibig sabihin ng ON THE DAY CANCELLATION at puwede kong bang gawin iyon?
Mga nag cancel sa mismong laro will be automatically BANNED and will no longer invited in regular games and monthly league.

26. Anong ibig sabihin NO SHOW at puwede ko bang gawin iyon?
 Mga players na hindi sumipot sa game automatically BANNED and will no longer invited in regular games and monthly league.

27. Anong ang ibig sabihin ng BANNED
Hindi ko na po maiinvite ulit maliban na lang kung willing kang bayaran ang Inconvenience Fee na katumbas dun sa slot mo.

New recruits, walk ins and former players who confirmed late are added in the Waitlists. Regular players who missed 3 practices or withdrew from the tournament are added to the queue and waitlisted players will come in as new regular players.  They will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis regardless of skills level and preferred position except for setters.

MVB Makati Volleyball Beginners Game Schedule MAY 2017

Here is the schedule of tune ups and practices for the month of May 2017. Note that there is a team in charge per schedule who will do the d tabulation of scores. All teams will act as referee, scorer and linesemen. To all the participating players, pls remind your team members about the team practices. Should you miss any of the practices, kindly advise your team members in advance and send a proxy. As per tournament guidelines, any team may request for the replacement of any team member on the grounds that the player has already missed 3 practices. Deleted players will be replaced by the waitlisted players on a first come first serve basis. Goodluck to all players!
