Every team needs a leader. Without one, it can be difficult to get on the same page and win. He leads by example. He knows his players and communicates with them and always stays positive. As a leader, his job is not just to tell his teammates what to do, but help them get there. He demonstrates good sportsmanship, treats the officials and organizers with respect. He always finds ways to build team spirit and encourages his teammates to interact with one another during practices and actual games. Most sports involve more than a single player. And when these players combine, they form a single group - a team. And when you hear the word team, there has to be someone who will lead them, a leader among the players.
